Friends,
Over the years I have learned a lot of lessons running a business. One of those lessons is that sometimes things break your direction…and sometimes they do not. But another important lesson I have learned is, it is not how many times you get knocked down, but how many times and how quickly you get back up. This year, I ran for Congress because I believe that our government has grown too large and many of our elected officials too arrogant.
I ran because I believe that for government to work, its representatives need to listen, learn, and lead – and that is what we built our campaign around. Although we were not successful this time, please know that my commitment to our community, our state, and our nation remains as strong as ever.
The lessons learned and relationships built have only strengthened my desire to help create a community that welcomes new businesses, provides better schools, and ensures safer neighborhoods. I love Nevada and I am committed to working with you to create positive change on Election Day and beyond.
I will be working hard to elect good candidates like Joe Heck, Sharron Angle, Brian Sandoval, and others. I hope you will work with me to help elect the right people to represent us in Carson City and Washington, DC.
Finally, I wanted to take a moment to personally thank you for your support during our race for Congressional District 1. We had a passionate team and a strong message.
This experience has been rewarding and your willingness to spend time with me in the process is truly appreciated.
Thank you for your continued support,
Craig Lake
P.S. Thank you to everyone who has sent emails or made phone calls. I intend to return them all and am working my way through the list. Additionally, we will keep you updated when we launch the new http://www.craiglake.us/ website so you can keep up to date with our next moves and community events. In the meantime, please make sure to join our new Facebook Craig Lake page, as we will be phasing out the Congress Facebook page.
